Buying my first 35 mm SLR (single lens reflex) camera in 1976 opened up a level of control and artistry that I never imagined in photography. In the mid-80’s, I jumped on the technology revolution early with one of the very first personal computers available, writing programs and designing applications. Buying an early digital camera and combining it with my personal computer opened a world of unlimited photographic opportunities with the ability to alter the image to more closely reflect the emotion and beauty of the moment.
Traveling professionally and personally has given me opportunities to visit some of the world’s greatest cities, but I strive to create images that reflect the local character, not “post card” images. An art photo should generate an emotional response i.e., a warm memory, a future desire, happiness or pathos. But most importantly, it should give you pleasure.
I use some of the most sophisticated Nikon camera equipment available, combined with a wide variety of high quality lenses. I process my images in-house myself and personally print them on an Epson Artisan 1430 printer with special UV dye inks. This is the only way I can guarantee that each image truly represents my vision.
I guarantee all of my prints for life from damage due to normal wear and tear, simply send the original print back and I will replace it immediately.
